The Pittsburgh Youth Ballet Company's School has been teaching and inspiring children three years old to professional for over 25 years. This summer twelve of PYBC's young dancers, ages 7 to 12, will be dancing with The New York City Ballet  in Jerome Robbins’ ®Circus Polka with The New York City Ballet at Saratoga Springs, New York.    Additionally, two of PYBC’s High School Early Dismissal dancers have been chosen to attend the prestigious School of American Ballet as well as 20 other High School students that are spending the summers in prestigious programs across the country.

In March, eight PYBC High School classical ballet students performed in the Youth America Grand Prix semifinals and were invited to perform in the YAGP NYC finals with teens from around the world.  Even PYBC’s younger students have many opportunities to dance in many George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Antony Tudor, Peter Martins  and Marius Petipas’ ballets each year.

PYBC’s four studios with floating basket weave floor toped with the best Harlequin flooring are built to protect the dancers.  A great play area for student’s and a comfortable waiting area await any parents or siblings .  PYBC’s location on Valley Brook Road also provides easy access to the Peters Trail.  PYBC’s students have two optional productions available each year, The Nutcracker in December and a spring performance in April or May.  Stop in for a FREE class and you will experience warm and friendly atmosphere with professional teachers and students that just "LOVE TO DANCE".  Summer is a great time to take a summer dance camp or Summer Intensive Program, and PYBC has several choices.  Without the constraints of school and homework, many students move up a full level.

PYBC’s Princess Camp this past June had tripled to capacity. PYBC’s Summer Intensive Program for ages 7 to 20 years, still has openings and class cards options are an available option in August also.  Classes for boys conditioning and Tap and Musical Theatre will be offered this summer and in the fall.  For more info email info@pybco.org or call 724.969.6000.
